We welcome collaborations across the 5Cs, including with undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and faculty, as well as those outside of the Claremont Consortium.

5C students can receive 0.5 course credit for working in the lab, provided the appropriate registrar form is filled out early each semester (199RA Research Assistant Independent Study). For sample past projects and expectations for joining the lab, see here. Applicants with strong organizational skills and an ability to commit to two semesters are preferred. A commitment to working in only one research lab is also preferred.

No previous research experience is required, however, completion of Research Methods, Social Psychology, and/or PSYC 180C (Climate Change and Human Behavior or Psychology of Climate Change) is encouraged. We also welcome students with programming experience and/or experience with Qualtrics, although these are not required.

If you would like to be considered for a research assistant position, please email Prof. Pearson with a brief description of your background, including relevant courses taken or prior research experience, and a brief description of research interests relevant to current SCI Lab projects. A resume is also welcome but not required.

If you are a current or prospective graduate student or postdoc and are interested in our work, please email Adam Pearson.

Those interested in applying to the applied social psychology graduate program at Claremont Graduate University should also contact CGU faculty for inquiries.
